TRITON Activated Carbon

TRITON Activated Carbon helps remove dissolved toxins and unwanted compounds from your marine aquarium, supporting clearer water and reducing discolouration and odours.

Part of the TRITON Treatments range, this activated carbon is quality controlled to minimise the risk of introducing unwanted contaminants into your reef.

Directions for use

• Rinse thoroughly with RO/DI water before use to remove dust and loose particles.
• Use 100mL per 100L of aquarium water.
• Place in an upflow reactor or a media bag in a high-flow area of your sump.
• When using a reactor, adjust the flow so the carbon remains stationary. Do not allow it to tumble.

When to replace

Replace every 4–6 weeks, or sooner depending on your aquarium’s needs. Carbon can become exhausted within 2–4 weeks in systems with higher levels of dissolved impurities. Returning discolouration or odours may indicate that replacement is overdue, so establish a regular replacement schedule before these signs appear.
