Torch Corals (Euphyllia spp.) are one of the most iconic LPS corals, loved for their long flowing tentacles and vibrant colours that create stunning movement in any reef aquarium. With stable water conditions and proper placement, Torch Corals are hardy, rewarding to keep, and quickly become a centrepiece of the display.

For best results, place your Torch Coral on stable rockwork or the sand bed under moderate lighting (50–150 PAR) with gentle, indirect, alternating water flow that allows the tentacles to sway naturally. Feed 1–2 times per week with meaty foods such as mysis or brine shrimp to promote healthy growth and vibrant colouration. Be sure to leave several inches of space between your Torch Coral and neighbouring corals, as their long sweeper tentacles can deliver a powerful sting. Maintain stable water parameters with a temperature of 24–27°C, salinity of 1.024–1.026, alkalinity of 8–11 dKH, calcium between 400–450 ppm, magnesium between 1250–1350 ppm, and low but measurable nutrients for long-term success.
